CHATEAU DE CHANTILLY

A completed project in cooperation with Chateau de Chantilly near Paris, France.  Paintings in oil and pastel, capturing the various seasons and the mood of the extensive grounds of the Chateau culminated in a partnership exhibit, with a portion of the proceeds going to the American Friends of Chantilly and the group's efforts to restore the grounds and the Chateau.

The Chateau de Chantilly is an historic chateau located in the town of Chantilly, France. It comprises two attached buildings; the Grand Chateau, destroyed during the French Revolution and rebuilt in the 1870's, and the Petit Chateau, which was built around 1560 for Anne de Montmorency.  Owned by the Institut de France, the chateau houses the Musee Conde, which is one of the finest art galleries in France and is open to the public.
