My approach to art and interior design is reflective of my approach to life. I appreciate beauty, as well as balance and a sense of order. There is a constant editing process that extends to all aspects of my art, home and life: a search for the purest expression. Editing of unessential elements gives breath to the preserved qualities, the core spirit, and informs the curation of materials, objects, and art. Finding this core spirit, with an emphasis on natural materials, extends to “empty” or “negative” space as well, which is often as impactful as a structured area, in both interior design and sculpting.

This philosophy extends to the way we move in the world, the rituals we incorporate into our daily lives. Stillness is as important as activity. For me, a connection to nature is essential, providing inspiration for art as well as balance in life. I strive to respect the honesty of materials I am working with and adhere to a purity of intent in their creation.
